Excited bladder...I have one

Happy Wednesday dear Readers! I know it is gloomy, wet, and cold outside but you are reading Cowboy Cookies now so your day is about to be brightened. You're welcome.

1.) Why does the need to pee multiply exponentially when there is no toilet paper? I walked into the bathroom today with a slight need to pee. I discovered there was no toilet paper so I went to the closet to retrieve more. No toilet paper in there either. BAM! I was then hit with the urge to go so badly my bladder was going to explode. I started doing the pee-pee dance. I was opening closets, looking under sinks, and in general acting as if I had never had to pee before. I did finally discover toilet paper, but only after I had a small melt down.

2.) Did anyone think it was funny that I wrote about going #1 as the #1 thing on my list?? Anyone? No? Okay moving on.

3.) When I was writing about having to pee while looking for toilet paper, I was struck by the revelation that I also get the strong urge to pee while playing hide-and-seek. Am I the only one this happens to?? I find a nice comfy hidey-hole of seclusion and BAM! I have to go pee. Maybe it is the excitement of finding the perfect spot. Or maybe it is the fact that I know I can't go to the bathroom that creates the need to go, much like with the toilet paper scenario. Any thoughts?

I've decided to join the bandwagon and participate in "What I'm Loving Wednesday".

I'm loving the fact that I'm getting shout outs in other people's blogs!

I'm loving that several people have asked to be Reader of the Week this week.

I'm loving that I am writing What I'm Loving Wednesday 5 minutes before it becomes Thursday.

11 down only 5,999,999,989 to go!

I want everyone to stop. Collaborate. And listen. I have big news! Cowboy Cookies officially has 11 followers. I also know now that more than 11 people read my blog! I am well on my way to becoming the most famous blogger EVER! You are a part of something big here people. You're welcome.

Oh, and here is the daily list of random.

1. I had a blast this Sunday! I went to the Southern Women's Show with my mama, sister, and best friend. I decided that I needed everything free thing that was being handed out. I ended up with two pens, two mini flashlights, a shell necklace, and some tablespoons. I also purchased a super cute jacket and a set of 820 thread count sheets. All in all it was a fantastic day!

2. All I have done is work for 12 days straight so my list of random is rather boring. I can't tell you about work so I think the list is going to stop here. I will leave you with this little factoid I learned on Saturday night though...prostitutes shoplift the strangest things!

Judging from the poll, everyone wants to hear stories about awkward and embarrassing moments in my life. I've thought long and hard on this. I think I'll start out with one embarrassing moment I remember very clearly from childhood.

I was six and it was my first ever sleepover. I was nervous! The normal things were running through my head.."Will she make fun of my hair when I wake up in the morning? Did I bring my glasses case? What if they don't have cheerios for breakfast?" Little did I know that what I should have been asking was "Do they have a massive dog that is going to maul me?"

So, I go bopping into the house full of energy and excitement only to end up on top of the kitchen table crying hysterically. They had the biggest dog I had ever seen at that point in my young life! I was small for my age so I stood under 3 feet tall, and of course this dog could almost look over my head. I was terrified to say the least. So here I am finally having my first sleep over with my first best friend and I'm literally standing on top of their kitchen table screaming, "Make him go away! Make him go away!" I also knocked over a bowl of Fruit Loops in the process. But, after coaxing me off the table with promises of candy and safety, I realized that the dog was actually very friendly. His name was Buster and I think I ended up sleeping with him beside me. But seriously...look at this picture. Can you blame me for being scared???

Electrocuted Chia Pets are not attractive

Hello, readers! I hope you have stuck with me. I've been too busy these past few days to even sleep much less blog! Here is a list of exciting things that have happened to me while I've been absent from blogger.

1.)

Well, that was fun. Maybe the daily list of random will be better.

1.) The Reader of the Week this week is.....Hope Sampson! She had the initiative to ask to be ROTW. I admired her spunk!  Congratulations Hope on being this week's Reader of the Week. You win a free ticket to the Southern Women's show! You're welcome.

2.) I need a haircut. Badly. When I blow dry my hair it looks like someone electrocuted a Chia Pet.

3. I have decided to not go with the iPhone just yet. I am greatly annoyed when people feel the need to check their email, text message, and surf the web while I'm trying to talk to them in person. I am afraid I would be one of those people so I am thinking that just a regular old phone is fine with me.

Someone made the wild accusation the other day that the reason I make fun of Taylor Swift so much is because I'm jealous of her. I couldn't even form a proper response to that insult. It took me a few days to gather my thoughts. I decided to pick a song and break down the lyrics for you.

Okay you know that song "Teardrops on My Guitar"? If you actually read the lyrics it is a creepy, creepy song.

Drew looks at me
I fake a smile so he won't see
What I want and I need
And everything that we should be
I like how she says "should" instead of "could".

I'll bet she's beautiful
That girl he talks about
And she's got everything
That I have to live without
She has a boy. That hardly constitutes "everything". Take the knife away from your wrist.

Drew talks to me
I laugh 'cause it's just so funny
I can't even see
Anyone when he's with me
I imagine that at this point she is staring wide eyed at him not blinking and laughing in a very creepy way.

He says he's so in love
He's finally got it right
I wonder if he knows
He's all I think about at night
I am happy that Drew finally got it right at the ripe old age of 17. I was worried that he would never find true love.

He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star
He's the song in the car I keep singing
Don't know why I do
Is that song the theme from "Psycho"?

Drew walks by me
Can he tell that I can't breathe?
And there he goes, so perfectly
The kind of flawless I wish I could be
He can probably tell when your face turns blue.

She better hold him tight
Give him all her love
Look in those beautiful eyes
And know she's lucky 'cause
What she means here is that she better hold him tight because Taylor will be waiting outside the door for the second she lets go of him.

(Repeat chorus)

So I drive home alone
As I turn out the light
I'll put his picture down
And maybe get some sleep tonight
Wait...you have his picture framed? And you sleep with it?

(Repeat chorus)

He's the time taken up but there's never enough
And he's all that I need to fall into
Drew looks at me
I fake a smile so he won't see
He obviously hasn't taken up too much time because you found time to write this dreadful song.

(Missing last verse)

Drew looks at me
I hope he doesn't see me hiding in his treeeeee....

Bad ideas...I have them.

Hello, readers! I had a busy day yesterday so I slacked on my blog. I also didn't get a chance to cook anything either. I promise to get back on track soon with Cookbook Monday.

I have run low on cash this week and I decided to cut a few things out of my budget until I get paid again. The two expendable things I decided to snip were sweet tea and Junior Mints. I was spending $3 a day. That's $21 a week on sweets! However, I didn't realize how important that $3 really was.  My head feels ready to explode from the lack of caffeine. Literally. I looked it up. Caffeine constricts blood vessels. So now that I don't have any caffeine in my system my blood vessels are expanding. That in turn is causing my head to hurt. Badly. That was your science lesson for the day. You're welcome.

It's been about 20 minutes since I posted the picture and in the meantime I found $.60 worth of change in my purse. I think that since I found the change and it was not factored into my budget, I should spend it anyway that I want to! Yay for caffeine!

My head no longer feels like it is going to explode! Yay for non-exploding heads!

I am glad I could ramble on about my caffeine addiction because I really didn't have anything to talk about today! I am taking topic requests. If you have anything you want me to talk about please message me or leave it in the comments!

And that's the way the cookie crumbles!

Even Rebecca Black has plans on Friday

I've always used the phrase "suck at life". Usually this phrase is intended for people other than myself.

However, this weekend I, Courtney Sellars, sucked at life. How does one "suck at life" you might be asking? Let me give you a list of examples, which just so happen to come from excerpts of my weekend.

1. You lose to an 8-year-old in a game of checkers.
2. You wear black pants to a softball game in 85 degree weather.
3. You run up on a State Trooper on the interstate while going 90.
4. You go to bed at 11 on Friday AND Saturday night.
5. You look at Facebook pictures on Sunday night of all the fun things your friends did on Friday and Saturday.
6. You decide to blog about how pathetic your life has become.

Here is another story about Tammy! During Christmas time my boss liked to put up this really creepy Santa doll. He was about a foot tall and held a candle that lit up when you plugged it in. Creepy Santa would move and wave around his little candle. I didn't like him so I kept him unplugged a lot. Tammy came up front one day while Creepy Santa was doing his little dance. She stopped dead in her tracks. Her eyes glazed over and she started laughing hysterically and swaying like the Creepy Santa was doing. She did this for quite some time. She stopped swaying, but while she continued to laugh, she walked over and petted the Creepy Santa. Then she turned around and walked out of the room.

Tammy, who didn't smile much, continued to come back up to the front through out the day to watch the Santa. It was nice to see her happy, but at the same time her happy mood was scaring every one else. I never did turn off the Santa after that. The aliens already knew I was stalking her. I didn't want to be blamed for making Santa stop dancing too.

Flies, stalkers, and aliens..oh my!

I am about to go into a homicidal rage.

There is a fly that keeps buzzing around my head. It is consuming my thoughts. I have plotted it's death several times, but each plot involves me getting off the couch. So right now I am using my laptop as a makeshift bat and swinging it wilding as the fly comes by.

Desired result

Probable result

That was a daily dose of random. Nothing good happened today anyway.

Story time! I'm going to tell you about the time one of the times I got the cops called on me.

I was working at the same place I have been talking about the past two days. I was up front when a police officer walked in the door. I was confused to see one in there because we were not a donut shop (ha!) No, but seriously, an officer walked in the door and asked to speak with "Tammy". Tammy worked in the back. She came up to the front and the officer asked her why she had called the police. Tammy told the officer that she was being stalked. Every morning at 7:15am a red SUV followed her and her daughter while she walked her to school. Tammy explained the route they always took and she also described the SUV as red and square. Now, guess who drove a red square SUV down Cedar St to school every morning at 7:15. That's right! ME!

Let me give you some background on Tammy...She was abducted by aliens. They continued to talk to her daily after they deposited her back on Earth. It was the aliens who told her that the government (me) was following her in that red SUV. The aliens also told her that evil snakes steal socks out of the dryer. I see their point though, I mean snakes do only need one sock.

I got a little off track. Moving on...I did not inform the officer that I was the driver of the SUV. I also did not inform Tammy of that fact either. I was fearful of what the aliens would tell her to do to me. Tammy and her daughter starting taking a new route to school per the alien's instructions. She never had any more problems with the red SUV. The end.
